Christopher Caliendo, born in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York City on January 6th, 1959, is an American composer, conductor, publisher, world music guitarist, teacher, commercial banker, business owner, and entrepreneur. Cited as a “wunderkind” by the Los Angeles Weekly, he became the first composer in Hollywood history to re-score an existing film with his original score to SONY PICTURES Major Dundee starring Charlton Heston.
Caliendo has also composed original fanfares for major cultural events, including the 25th Anniversary of the Phoenix Film Festival (featured across more than 300 screenings), the Martial Arts Film Festival, and the Chandler International Film Festival, where he serves on the board and contributed a commemorative work for its 10th anniversary.
